At COTE College, we challenge our pupils to broaden their horizons beyond the IGCSE and A-Level syllabus. Students partake in academic enrichment activities to reinforce their formal elements of study, develop an awareness of the latest research and events, and practice teamwork and leadership.

Extension studies include the Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Olympiad programmes and the John Locke Essay Competition. In addition, the programme is complemented by the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) where students explore their passion with refined research skills. We also encourage our students to engage in a variety of exciting internships and voluntary placements to build a real-life experience in the desired field of study.

The Learning Support team provides personalised support for a wide range of pupils, including those who are English language learners or who are new to the British education system.

Each pupil is allocated a tutor who specialises in their prospective academic pathway. A regular one-to-one mentoring is offered to provide advice on general study skills, examinations, university applications and student wellbeing.
